New Chapters In Our Book Of Life

For so many years, I lived with a story I had created inside my mind—a narrative built from old wounds and fears. I told myself I was either too much or not enough. I was terrified to show my true feelings, to voice what I wanted, or to let people truly know me. The fear of rejection, of being hurt, of not being enough, kept me locked away from genuine connection.

So instead, I poured myself into being there for everyone else. I gave people the very things I so desperately needed for myself, while neglecting my own heart in the process. It felt safe to hide behind service, but it was also incredibly lonely.

Today, I stand in a different place. I am surrounded by a beautiful community of brothers, sisters, and family who love me as I am—fully, authentically, without condition. This safe space has allowed me to gently work through the traumas and patterns that once controlled me. The healing journey continues, and I'm learning that's not just okay—it's sacred. I now show up for myself in ways I never have before, and if I can do this work, so can you.

Six Steps to Rewriting Your Story

  1. Witness the old story

Notice the thoughts that arise: "I'm too much." "I'm not enough." "No one will understand." Observe them with gentleness and curiosity—they are old patterns and programs, not your truth. They are echoes from your past, not reflections of who you are.

  2. Return to divine truth

Pause, breathe, and remember this: "I am a soul created by God. I am worthy to exist and be seen." Whatever your relationship with spirituality, know that you are inherently valuable simply because you exist.

  3. Sit with God in stillness

Create space each day for silence—prayer, meditation, or simply being present. In these quiet moments, let the presence of something greater than yourself realign your heart and calm your nervous system.

  4. Let your energy move

What is trapped inside us becomes stuck. Express what you feel through journaling, prayer, movement, or breath work. Let your emotions flow. What is expressed can finally heal.

  5. Choose authenticity

Each time you speak your truth, each time you honor what you feel instead of hiding it, you are rewriting that old story. Every act of vulnerability is an act of rebellion against the fear that kept you small.

  6. Trust the unfolding

Healing is not linear, and it is not yours to control. Surrender to a higher power—whether you call it God, the Universe, Spirit, or Love. Trust that your journey is unfolding exactly as it needs to, even when you can't see the full picture. You have a purpose and a calling. All you must do is trust.

Whatever your relationship with the divine, I invite you to lean into that powerful creator energy within and around you. Know that you are not alone in this journey. Our stories are still being written, and the chapters ahead are full of possibility. 💕
